Re: Offense vs. LBs in zone?

No, in theory that would be just as bad.

Filed under poor competitive spirit and really how would the individual feel about themselves if they took private information for a singular game and shared it with the top minds in order to achieve success. It goes against everything which has to do with fair gaming and respectful competition between two people (GMs).

If JDB said no screenshots then i can understand the whole non sense you guys are brewing.

Considering he hasnt said about no screenshots i would think it is ok.

Now if he does say something where it is NOT ok then yes you guys are right for this and it is NOT ok to post a screenshot.

Nonsense? LOL

If this spiraled out of control and people really looked to others for assistance you might as well change GM match-ups to Punisher vs. Ray, Punisher vs. Seth, Punisher vs. Bryson or whomever else would be sought for the inside track to victory.

What you are missing is maybe this helps everyone where everyone now knows how to play against a LB in a zone .

like for example JSiD contract extension wizard

thread = https://mfn19.myfootballnow.com/community/1/2525?page=1

knowing people are being nonsense (more like silly) about this then someone better go thru that thread and remove the 2 screenshots .

heck you can make a case some threads do have a screenshot in them that actually help people so knowing you are angry about this Smirt211 you best find a way to edit those threads and make those screenshots go away.

Wouldnt want a double standard where it is ok for one thread or one person to post them but it is not ok for another thread or another person to post them

I'm not concerned with the past. I'm concerned with moving forward.

I've never seen a particular game discussed in a thread ever here since I've been involved with the game in terms of a snapshot of scouting or anything pinpointed to 'how do I approach this?'

General sense, no problem with the thread being asked for assistance and no problem with Tribewriter's intent.

I don't get the gripe. Your just telling guys to make it harder to learn the game. In theory it would be ok for a user to pm screenshots to everyone in order to get varied opinions on any given subject , but this is not ok. Idk? No real mfn rules were broken. So, once again reserve this kinda stuff for private leagues only where this rule is clearly stated to avoid any confusion in the future .

Agreed. If I posted a screenshot like that, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out that it's one of my opponents from the one league I play.

That's not at all the case here so I really don't get the fuss.

The fuss is if it becomes the norm.

Anyone could come onto the Community Help Board and freely ask 'how do I combat this' in my Title Game and Ray'll gladly jump right in to provide all the information they need when that flies in the face of everything which has to do with 'good competition' and 'fair, respectful' play between two GMs in an important match-up.

There's lines/barriers which shouldn't be crossed.

Actually JDB is going to look at zone next season so all your guys points would be moot

Thanks for the analysis - keep it coming! My plan right now is to make a tweak to the zone coverage - I like the 'magnet' idea, and am going to implement that - but I'm going to wait until the season ends and roll it out for the start of next season.

It's not moot, Punisher. My comments are grand scale not pertaining to just this one isolated circumstance.

I'm speaking conceptually if this was to become commonplace...

Or you could file it under and compare it to nfl gm using an nfl analyst to help see something from a different point of view . Most likely they already have help from other team personal to give insight , but no analyst/guru would have a job under your guys theory in the real world . It should not be different cause this is an online game.

We have new users that might not even be familiar with the the inner workings of football or this game and for user retention I would think bringing everyone up to speed quicker would benefit the game, not hurt it.

Yeah that one guy might take a loss but 31 teams don't win the super bowl either. So, we're all on the same level here in terms of competitive balance . As long as you can still post stuff and so can everyone else.

The thread touches on zone not whatever you guys are talking about. I am still waiting for your insight on zone but you prefer to keep it a secret . Where I dont. Or you play a man under and dont know about zone. Which I extensively tested because I knew man under was overpowered in comparison .

Parity is the key to this games success . Not winning games. Please reserve a lengthy protest for private leagues so I can get back to business in my alloted venue .
