Voiding Rookie Contract

I have completely messed up my draft this year. Didn't make a few of my own picks and the "system" picks were horrible. Most disturbing is a first round 64 future RB with a 6 volatility. Costs me $10M/year. Sole positive is a 76 max speed and that is not "great". Do you just void this contract? Is the salary cap lowered for the first year only or for the full five years?

I'll help you make him super viable. Don't cut him and get like $20 million in dead cap.

Switch his position to WR for a speed boost and utilize him as a 3rd/4th receiver type. I believe he has poor B/R avoid so use him down the WR roster depth chain as a speed advantage over less talented DBs.

Actually, you're in the middle of the draft right? You can cut him for free before training camp.

If you cut before training camp you don't incur any bonus money penalties.

The season hasn't started yet, that league is still in the draft. Mj, if you cut him now . . . there is no dead cap, salary hit, or other penalty.

OK, thanks! That is what I wanted to confirm.

What a wasted draft. I am really bummed.

I truly believe you can get use from out of him.

You can freely cut before training camp. It shouldn't hit you with any dead cap cost.
