thanks for reply, but all i see is what he is signed for(3 more seasons). no option to sign him for head coach

That could be because you're team is beyond the deadline for new signings in a season - I think that would be game 8

You should be able to promote a OC/DC at any time during the season. 2 ways ..

1. The caveat is if he signed a contract that season. If he did not, you should be able to promote via a simple contract offer. If the contract button is gone, he signed a contract that season and you cannot promote. But you can ...

2. Offer the OC/DC position to someone else thereby "firing" the current the coach. Then at the next sim, reoffer the coach the HC job. If you are in an active league you do run the risk of everyone bidding on him and then you not getting him back.
